Kargil Police solves 03 burglary cases with the arrest of accused

Kargil,Dec 25: Kargil police on Sunday claimed to have Solved a major three burglary cases worth lakhs with the arrest of one person.
A police official said that Kargil police filed three different FIR’s in theft cases  80/2022, 118/2022 and 130/2022 under section 457, 380 IPC of Police Station Kargil and launched a massive haunt to nab the culprit.
He said that during investigation a person namely Farooq Ahmad Khan S/O Muhammad Sharif Khan R/O Palipora, Boniyar Baramulla Presenting was running a Mughal Bakery Shop at main Market kargil, during questioning the said person admitted that he has committed this crime.
They said that Police in his possession recovered 12 mobile phones  worth about 4 lakh rupees which were stolen from Nisar Hussain’s Electronic Shop, cash about 2 lakhs and mobile phones worth 6 lakhs was also recovered.Whereas 07 theft incidents out of 10 which were not reported has also been commissioned by the same accused. 
After committing the theft the accused used to sold the stolen jewellery and maximum number of  mobiles phones at Srinagar to different people in order to avoid the risk of being nabbing and get caught by local Police. 
Police said that the Investigation of the rest of the cases are under progress and with questioning of the accused more recovery of stolen property is expected.
He further said that whole operation was carried out by Kargil Police under the supervision of Iftikhar Ahmad Choudhary JKPS, Additional SP Kargil under the directions of SSP Kargil Anayat Ali (IPS) Kargil.
Meanwhile Kargil Police appeals to General Public to report such incidents happening in their area so that culprits shall be booked under law.
