Srinagar, Jun 14: The President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharayi Shiayan, Agha Syed Hassan al-Moosavi al-Safavi, has emphasized the enduring message of the Battle of Karbala. He stated that this pivotal event in the struggle between truth and falsehood continues to serve as a guiding light against oppression and exploitation in every era.
Agha Syed Hassan highlighted that the Battle of Karbala represents a significant chapter in the continuous war between righteousness and falsehood. Despite facing extreme deprivation, a severe lack of manpower, and utterly demoralizing circumstances, the forces of truth, led by Imam Hussain (AS), achieved an eternal and everlasting victory. This triumph not only elevated and safeguarded Islam and humanity but also penned a luminous history. In contrast, despite possessing all kinds of resources, power, governance, abundant manpower, and favorable conditions, the forces of falsehood faced a disgraceful defeat.
He pointed out that the revolutionary event of the martyrdom of the Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussain (AS), and his few loyal companions in the desert of Karbala has, throughout every era, inspired not just Muslims but also non-Muslims to resist and fight against oppression and exploitation. Imam Hussain’s (AS) uprising signifies the Quranic mandate that when the foundations of Islam face a severe threat, resistance to protect Islam becomes an unavoidable duty, and the lack of resources or manpower cannot be used as a legitimate excuse.
Agha Syed Hassan called for the message of Karbala to be recognized and upheld as a universal beacon against oppression and exploitation, inspiring all humanity to stand firm in the face of injustice.
