Srinagar, Aug 04: National Conference Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed grief and sadness over the unfortunate incident in Kangan wherein flash floods have caused significant damage to the property including residential houses, agricultural land and vehicles.
In a statement issued here, Mian Altaf said that it is deeply shocking and sad that flash floods occurred in several areas of the Kangan subdivision including Cherwan, Kullan and Gagengar areas causing massive damage to residential houses in the Cherwan area besides damaging the Agricultural fields.
The MP urged the administration to take necessary measures in this regard, saying that relief and assistance should be provided to the affected. “I urge the administration to provide relief and compensation to the affected people besides taking measures so that under such circumstances the damage is avoided,” he said.
