Job fair at GDC Kupwara: 15 youth receive offer letters

Kupwara, May 19: The District Employment & Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Kupwara on Friday organised a daylong placement cum job fair at Government Degree College Kupwara to provide a convenient platform to the educated unemployed youth/job seekers and to facilitate their interaction with the private companies and recruiters for training, skilling and placement.
The placement cum job fair was inaugurated by Assistant Director Employment Kupwara in the presence of the Principal Government Degree College Kupwara and delegates from Dr. Sulaiman Al- Habib Hospital, Saudi Arabia. M/S Al-Yafur Tour & Travels, a Placement cum Recruiting Agency registered with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India participated in the programme to hire Nursing/GNM students/pass-outs for Dr. Sulaiman Al- Habib Hospital, Saudi Arabia. The event saw an overwhelming response from the Job seekers/ unemployed youth from district Kupwara.
The Principal of Degree College Kupwara welcomed the delegates and participants to the programme. The representatives of the participating private sector establishment also spoke on the occasion and acquainted the participants regarding the job opportunity offered by Dr Sulaiman Al-Habib Group KSA. Fifteen unemployed youth/job seekers were provided on the spot offer letters, 35 jobseekers/participants were shortlisted for the next round, and 101 fresh registrations were made on the state employment portal.
