JKUT Men’s Team leads in senior national Volleyball Championship at Jaipur

Jaipur, Jan 08: JKUT Volleyball (men) has maintained a lead in its pool in 69th Senior National Volleyball Championship being held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur from January 7 to January 13.

The team defeated consecutively Gujarat and Tripura teams easily. With Gujarat in 3-o sets straight and score 25-23,25-17 & 25-22 whereas 2nd match J&K beat Tripura by sets 3-0 and score 25-16,25-19 and 25-17 Mannat, Shahid,Pankaj displayed their magnificent skills and mesmerized the spectators with their spikes, defensive techniques. In women section JKUT displayed dismal pictures by losing from Bihar by sets 3-0 and Gujarat by sets 3-0 .

The earlier 7 day long National Volley ball Championship was inaugurated by Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as a chief guest whereas Minister of Sports, Rajasthan Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore presided over the opening ceremony function. Amongst dignitaries Prem Singh Bajor and members of Adhoc committee of Volley ball Federation of India, Rohit Rajpal chairman Adhoc committee and Alaknanda Ashok Member of Adhoc committee and galaxy Arjuna awardees of Volley ball game, officials of State/UTs VOLLEYBALL Associations across India graced the opening function which began with colourful presentation of cultural Prog of Rajasthan and an impressive March past by all participating teams ,34 in men and 29 teams in women section all across India. As many as 1200 players/officials engaged in this National Championship which would conclude on 13th Jan 2025 at Jaipur.
