Srinagar, Sept 28: Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) is set to host SARAS AAJEEVIKA 2025, an extraordinary exhibition, which will be held at the Sher-I-Kashmir Park in Srinagar from October 04 to October 14, 2025
According to JKSRLM, the exhibition will be held at SK Park Srinagar from October 4 to October 14, 2025. Approximately 50 to 60 stalls will be established during this ten-day exhibition.
"Rural women from other states will also showcase their stalls at this exhibition. These stalls will feature a blend of products from various regions of India, offering visitors a genuine representation of the nation's artistry and craftsmanship. With a strong dedication to fostering financial independence, the mela also acts as a platform for empowering self-help group (SHG) members supported by the DAY NRLM," said JKSRLM.
The department said that SARAS provides a significant platform for rural women artisans to display and sell their products. JKRLM Umeed has consistently focused on creating marketing opportunities for self-help groups, and SARAS exemplifies our steadfast commitment to their empowerment.
Facilities for games for children, ATM services, drinking water, and 24/7 healthcare will be available. There will be no entry fee for the visitors. Attendees can visit this event and purchase necessary items from Self-Help Group members at standard rates and enjoy food prepared by these Self-Help Group members during the event.
