Jammu, Apr 20: On the eve of Eid Festival Jammu Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC Ankush Abrol, and Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District Urban Dr. Vikas Sharma organized a programme at Qasim Nagar wherein they distributed copies, pencils, Pencil Boxes, pen and sweet items to destitute children.
The programme was organized by Dr Vikas Sharma and Ankush Abrol was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Abrol said, “National Conference has been doing social works from time to time and always remains on the front to help the needy persons indiscriminately.”
He further said that the Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah was always keen and encourages party workers to help the community irrespective of caste, creed or color. He assured that in future such functions shall also be organised in the interest of indigent and needy persons.
Dr. Vikas Sharma also spoke and elaborated upon the priorities enlisted by the party for development and welfare of masses.
He also said, “We stand committed for secularism and social equality. The National Conference has a legacy of serving the poor and weaker sections of the society which was started by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.”
