Srinagar, July 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) extends heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary and Principal Secretary (R&B) Anil Kumar Singh for their continued efforts in strengthening the engineering cadre.In a statement issued here, JKMEGA also warmly welcomed Anil Kumar Singh as the new Principal Secretary and expresses hope that both R&B and the Mechanical wing will progress under his leadership. President JKMEGA, Er Ferdous Ahad Bhat, appreciated the recent placements at senior levels and urged the administration to now prioritise pending promotions at the AE and AEE levels—strictly based on seniority and merit. The association also called for urgent submission of all pending regularisation proposals to JKPSC to end the prolonged adhoc culture and in-charge arrangements. A fair, timely promotion system is crucial not only for internal growth but also for delivering quality public services across J&K.
