Jammu, July 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) is set to organise a Scorers’ Clinic
in both Jammu and Srinagar later this month. The specific dates and venues for each location will be
announced separately.
A statement issued here said that the initiative was confirmed through a notice issued by Brigadier
Anil Gupta, Member Administration, JKCA. As per the notification, candidates wishing to participate
in the clinic must meet the following eligibility criteria—age–between 20 and 40 years, educational
qualification–minimum of Class 12 and cricket knowledge—a basic understanding of the game is
required, with preference given to former cricketers
The clinic will run for five days and conclude with an examination. Only those candidates who
successfully pass the assessment will be considered for future scoring assignments with the JKCA.
Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the JKCA offices in Jammu or Srinagar no later
than 6:00 pm on July 9 or via email to [email protected]. Along with the application, candidates
must provide the following supporting documents–proof of educational qualification, valid proof of
age, documents demonstrating cricket-related experience or knowledge and a notarised e-affidavit
confirming their willingness and availability to undertake scorers’ duties when required by the
Association. This move aims to strengthen the scorer base in Jammu and Kashmir by equipping
eligible candidates with formal training and certification.
