Jammu, March 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has organised a three-day workshop for physiotherapists at the JKCA Complex, GGM Science College, Jammu, from March 26 to 28. Conducted under the aegis of the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE), Bangalore, the workshop features 18 participants from across J&K, including both experienced physiotherapists associated with JKCA and new entrants.
The workshop was inaugurated by Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member Administration, JKCA, who encouraged participants to utilise the expertise of the BCCI team to enhance their skills. He emphasised the importance of building trust and rapport with players, ensuring physiotherapists gain their confidence, which in turn aids in injury prevention and improves performance.
Brigadier Gupta also expressed gratitude to the BCCI for conducting this first-ever physiotherapy workshop in J&K, hoping for more such initiatives in the future to benefit local professionals without requiring them to travel to Bangalore. The workshop is led by Dr Badrinath Prathi, Zonal Head of Sports Science Medicine (North Zone), along with experts Niraj Karamchandani and Abhishek Thakar.
