JKBOSE postpones 10th grade vocational exams in Soft Zones

SRINAGAR, Mar 05: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the postponement of the annual regular examination for 10th-grade Vocational Subjects, scheduled for March 07, in all soft zones of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
In a notification issued by the Director Academics of JKBOSE, it stated, “In view of unavoidable circumstances, the Examination of Vocational Subjects such as Agriculture/Apparels, Makeup & Home Furnishing/Automotive/ Beauty and Wellness/Health Core/TTA ITES/Physical Education & Sports/ Plumbing/ Retail/ Security/ Telecommunication/ Tourism and Hospitality/ Electronics and Hardware of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th Session Annual (Regular)2024 in Soft Zone areas of UT of Jammu & Kashmir, which was scheduled to be held on March 07,2024 (Thursday), has been postponed and shall be held on April 04, 2024 (Thursday).”
The notification further clarified, “The examinations for the remaining subjects scheduled from March 11, 2024, will proceed as per the date sheet that has already been issued.”
Moreover, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has mandated that the 9th-grade summative assessment exams for 2024 will be conducted by schools as per the JKBOSE syllabus and model question papers.
Professor Sudhir Singh, Director of Academics, informed Rising Kashmir that the 9th-grade Summative Assessment Examination for 2024 will be administered by educational institutions affiliated with JKBOSE.
“All Government and Private schools affiliated with JKBOSE will conduct the examinations according to the prescribed syllabus and model papers provided by JKBOSE,” he stated.
Professor Singh also emphasized that model papers for the 9th grade are accessible on the official JKBOSE website through schools, enabling students to utilize these resources for exam preparation.
