JKBOSE distributes textbooks from Ist to 8th std in 91 educational zones

SRINAGAR, APR 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has begun the process of distributing textbooks from first to eighth grades in 91 educational zones around the Kashmir valley after the commencement of the new academic year for the schools. 
A JKBOSE official told Rising Kashmir that they have begun distributing textbooks to educational zones in the various districts of the Kashmir valley from April 5. 
Presently,  Kashmir Valley has 10 districts, which comprises  91 educational zones.Five educational zones get textbooks from the JKBOSE on a daily basis, he said. “The schools will distribute these textbooks to pupils in their respective districts,” he said. 
According to officials, all first through eighth grade pupils in government schools in Kashmir would receive these textbooks free of charge.
“For the first and second classes, text books will be distributed under the funds of the Chief Educational Officers of all the districts.” “However from the 3rd to 8th classes, the text books will be distributed under the Samgra Shikha funds to all the government schools in the Kashmir valley” he said.
Adding that the text books of the JKBose for the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes are available at  book shops in all districts, which students have to purchase from the concerned book sellers as per the given rate of the JK Bose.
