Srinagar, Feb 07: A total of 369,639 students from grades 10, 11, and 12 are set to participate in the JKBOSE Annual Regular 2025 examinations in 3,682 centers in the soft zones and hard zones areas of the Union territory. The examination will begin from this month.
This marks the first occasion in the history of Jammu and Kashmir that the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is conducting annual regular examinations in the Union Territory, aligned with the examination schedule of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) .
An official from the JKBOSE informed Rising Kashmir that the 10th-grade annual regular examinations in the soft zones will commence on February 15, 2025, and will conclude on March 19, 2025. In the Jammu division, 61,527 students will take part in the examinations across 644 centers, while in the Kashmir division, 65,184 students are expected to appear at 672 examination centers.
“However, the annual regular examinations for hard zones areas of the Jammu and Kashmir will get started on February 21, 2025, and will end on March 24, 2025. A total of 15,311 students will appear for examinations at 198 centers. In Kashmir division 3,500 students will participate in examinations in 43 centres, ” Official said.
He said that the annual regular examinations for the 12th grade will also begin on February 15, 2025, and will end on March 17, 2025. A total of 43,559 students from the Jammu division will participate in the examinations at 403 centers, whereas 50,609 students from the Kashmir division will take part in 470 centers. Similarly, from the hard zones of the Union Territory, a total of 6,840 students from the Jammu division will appear for the examinations in 92 centers, while 1,862 students from the Kashmir division will participate in the exams at 24 centers.
Additionally, the 11th-grade examinations in the soft areas of Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled to start on February 18, 2025, and will conclude on March 18, 2025. A total of 51,509 students from the Jammu division will appear for the examinations in 459 centers, while 58,213 students from the Kashmir division will participate in 548 centers.
However, from the hard zones of the Jammu and Kashmir Union territory, a total of 9,304 students from the Jammu division will appear for exams in 106 , and 2,221 students from the Kashmir division will participate in the examinations at 22 centers.
