Srinagar, Mar 18: In a commendable move, the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Employees Association (JKAEA) expressed profound gratitude to S.D Vaidya, Principal Secretary to the Government Finance, for the recent decision to address the long-standing issue of stagnant Assistant Accounts Officers.
A delegation representing both the Secretariat and Jammu units of the association met with key officials on Monday, including S.D Vaidya, Mahesh Dass, Director General of Accounts & Treasuries, and S.L. Pandita, Advisor in Finance. The delegation conveyed heartfelt thanks for the recent directive to promote 62 Assistant Accounts Officers as Junior Scale Accounts Officers, a step that resolves their prolonged wait for advancement spanning over 12 years.
Among the delegation were notable members of JKAEA, including G.NTantray, S.Sadhu, Raghubir, Kamal Pathania, Shiv Paul, Kulbir, Shahnawaz Qadiri, Radhysham, Kumar Raina, Vinod Dogra, and Ajay Gupta, along with others who were beneficiaries of the promotion.
This move signifies a positive stride in addressing the grievances of employees and underscores the commitment of the government to recognize and reward long-serving professionals within the accounting sector. The association lauded the authorities for their proactive approach in resolving this issue and reiterated their commitment to collaborative efforts in furthering the welfare of employees in the region.
