Two public meetings were held in Kandi and Budhal here on Monday under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Secretary Tarun Chug on Monday.

A large gathering was present in both the meetings held.

BJP Budhal Assembly leader Manzoor Naik said that the meeting held with the constituency workers in Kandi and Budhal was to discuss how to improve tourism in Rajouri and further added that the people have been going door to door to make people aware of the schemes available for their benefits.

Speaking to ANI, Naik said, “Today, our BJP National Secretary and Senior BJP leader Tarun Chug is here to attend a meeting with the constituency workers in Kandi and Budhal. The meeting held today was to discuss with the party workers how the tourism, employment rate and other similar issues in Rajouri can be improved. Every member of the BJP has been working hard for the party and has been going door to door to make people aware of the schemes by the party,” he said.

Further, he added that the BJP would give tough competition to the other parties.

“I am sure that the BJP party is going to give tough competition to the other parties. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has made sure no person in the area faces any problems. The meeting held today was to discuss with the party workers how we can improve the tourism in Rajouri,” he added.

BJP General Secretary Tarun Chug said that the party wishes to transform Rajouri to attract more tourism.

“Under the guidance of PM, we want to transform Rajouri into a beautiful place so that more and more people come here and we can attract more tourism,” Chug said.

Meanwhile, The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI) have formed a strategic alliance for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, a statement by AIP said on Sunday.

A joint meeting of the two parties was held on Sunday, which was attended by AIP Supremo and Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid, AIP Chief spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, among other members.

JEI leader Ghulam Qadir Wani and other prominent leaders of the party were also present for the meeting. (ANI)
