J&K Police reschedules Cycle Race for Sep 23, revises prize money for winners

Jammu & Kashmir police rescheduled Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022 for September 23, 2022 and also revised the prize money for the winners from Rs.3.86 Lakhs to Rs.5.13 Lakhs. 

 

 

Besides, on the conclusion of Cycle Race and Prize distribution ceremony, a Raffle draw of Chest Nos of the participants shall also be conducted in which 1st prize, a bicycle worth Rs.25,000/-, 2nd prize a bicycle worth Rs.16,000/- and 3rd prize a bicycle worth Rs.15,000/- shall be presented to the first three prize winners of the Raffle Draw.

 

The Cyclists who have got themselves registered for participation in the Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” – 2022 have been appealed to assemble at Lalit Ghat Boulevard Road Srinagar (The venue of Flag-off ceremony) at 0500 hours on September 23, 2022 (Friday) for the scrutiny and collection of Chest Nos. 

 

The Cycle Race “Pedal for Peace” which was earlier scheduled to be conducted on September 11, 2022 (Sunday) at Police Golf Course Boulevard Road, Srinagar but postponed due to administrative reasons, has now been re-scheduled to be conducted on September 23, 2022 at the same venue and time.

 

The Cycle Race shall be flagged off on September 23, 2022 (Friday) at 0630 hours from Lalit Ghat Boulevard Road, Srinagar and flag-in ceremony shall take place at 10 a.m on the same day at Police Golf Course Boulevard Road, Srinagar where a prize distribution ceremony followed by Raffle Draw of Chest Nos. shall also take place.

 

As per the revised prize money set for the winners, the first 5 position holders in Senior (Men) above 17 years (ATB) professional Cyclist (41 Kms race category) shall get Rs.50,000/-, Rs.30,000/-, Rs.25,000/-, Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively whereas for the next 5 position holders in the said category shall get Rs.2000/- each.

 

In senior (Men) above 17 years (MTB) Cyclist category (28 Kms race) the first 5 position holders shall get Rs.30,000/-, Rs.25,000/-, Rs.20,000/-, Rs,15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively whereas the next 5 position holders in the said category shall get prize of Rs.2000/- each.

 

In open Girls (MTB) Cyclist (24 Kms race) category the first 5 position holders shall get cash prize of Rs.30,000/-, Rs.25,000/-, Rs.20,000/- Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively whereas next 5 position holders in the said category shall get Rs.2000/- each.

 

In Jr. Boys U/17 Years (MTB) Cyclist (27 Kms race) category the first 5 position holders shall get prize of Rs.20,000/-, Rs.15,000/-, Rs.10,000/-, Rs.5000/-, Rs.3000/- respectively whereas the next 5 position holders shall get Rs.1000/- each.

 

In Sub-Junior (Boys) U/14 Years (MTB) Cyclist (19 Kms race) the first 5 position holders shall get a prize of Rs.15,000/-, Rs.10,000/-, Rs.5000,/- Rs.3000/-, Rs.2000/- respectively whereas the next 5 position holders in the said category shall get prize of Rs.1000/- each.

 

Similarly in Sub-junior (Girls) U/14 years (MTB) Cyclist (13 Kms race) the first 5 position holders shall get a prize of Rs.15,000/-, Rs.10,000/-, Rs.5000,/- Rs.3000/-, Rs.2000/- respectively whereas the next 5 position holders in the said category shall get prize of Rs.1000/- each.

 

In the veteran Cyclist category (21 Kms race) the first 5 position holders shall get a prize money of Rs.5000/-, Rs.4000/-, Rs.3000/-, Rs.2000/- and Rs.1000/- respectively.
