J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib hosts investiture ceremony

Jammu, May 29: The J&K Police Public School in Miran Sahib, Jammu on Wednesday organised its Investiture Ceremony to induct the newly elected Student Council Members into their roles.
The ceremony, held at the school’s auditorium, saw the presence of Prof Rasmita Das Swain, Chairperson of J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) and J&K Police Public Schools (PPSs), as the Chief Guest. Alongside senior police officers and Principals from J&K PPSs in Jammu and Srinagar, Prof Swain presented appointment sashes to the newly elected student council members and administered the oath of office, urging them to fulfill their duties with dedication.
In her address, Prof Swain welcomed the parents, M. N. Tiwari, (IGP Armed/IRP Jammu Zone), Administrative Officer, J&K PPS Jammu, Sujit Kumar (DIG CID Kashmir), Administrative Officer, J&K PPS Srinagar, Sarah Rizvi (DIG IRP Jammu Range), Snigdha Singh, Principal, J&K PPS Srinagar, Suram Singh (CO JKAP 8th Bn), Nodal Officer, J&K PPS Jammu, Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K PPS Jammu, teachers, students and support staff.
She congratulated the newly appointed Student Council Members and expressed her confidence in their ability to excel in various fields through hard work. She highlighted the importance of grooming these student leaders to serve as role models for their peers, instilling in them qualities of responsibility and leadership.
Prof Rasmita advised the council members to demonstrate empathy, confidence, and perseverance to foster a conducive academic environment. She applauded the parents for their involvement and support, assuring them that the Management Committee of J&K PWWA/PPSs, with the backing of the Police Headquarters, will continue to enhance infrastructure, education quality, and extracurricular activities for overall student development.
The cultural performances presented by the students received high praise from Prof Swain, who commended the efforts of the principal, teachers, and staff. Following her address, M. N. Tiwari, Administrative Officer of J&K PPS Jammu, expressed gratitude to Prof Swain for gracing the occasion and advised the newly elected council members to serve with sincerity.
