Srinagar, July 27: Political leaders across Jammu & Kashmir expressed their deep grief and anguish over the tragic loss of eight members of a single family, including five children, in a road accident on the Sinthan-Kokernag route in Anantnag district on Saturday.

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Dr Farooq Abdullah expressed his sorrow, saying, “I offer my heartfelt condolences to those mourning this profound loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families as they navigate through this unimaginable grief. May the departed souls rest in peace, and may their families find the strength and solace to endure this trying time.”
Omar Abdullah added, “I send my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the grieving families of those lost in this horrific incident. May they find solace and strength during this unimaginably difficult time. I fervently pray for the success of the ongoing rescue mission, hoping that every effort will be made to bring any survivors to safety.”
Other National Conference leaders, including General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, MP Anantnag Mian Altaf Ahmad, and others, also extended their deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families.

Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed shock over the tragic accident. He urged the government to compensate the families of the deceased and emphasized the need for caution on the tough and hilly Kishtwar-Kashmir road.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep shock over the tragic loss. She urged authorities to provide immediate compensation and support to the affected families, offering her heartfelt condolences.
