J&K, first among all States /UTs, to get PMGSY-IV sanction: LG

• Expresses gratitude to Centre for J&K’s biggest road projects • 316 road projects worth ₹4,224 Cr sanctioned for J&K under PMGSY-IV

Srinagar, June 10: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan for sanctioning 316 road projects in J&K UT, at an estimated cost of Rs.4224 Cr under Batch-I of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV (PMGSY-IV).
J&K is the first among all States /UTs which got sanction under PMGSY-IV. The biggest ever package sanctioned for J&K under PMGSY will provide connectivity to 390 number of eligible habitations with population more than 250 souls.
The Lieutenant Governor observed that the approved 1781 KMs road length will provide a major boost to rural road connectivity and usher in a new era of prosperity in far-flung areas.
The Lieutenant Governor has posted on X: “Grateful to PM Narendra Modi Ji & Union Minister of Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan Ji for sanctioning 316 road projects at an estimated cost of Rs.4224 Cr under Batch-I of PMGSY-IV for providing connectivity to 390 no. of eligible habitations.

LG visits Sonamarg, interacts with Market association representatives & service providers
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Sonamarg and interacted with the representatives of Sonamarg Market Association, hoteliers, ponywalas and other service providers for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
The members of the delegations put forth various important matters pertaining to the smooth conduct of the forthcoming annual yatra of Shri Amarnath Ji.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the delegations of due consideration and appropriate redressal of the issues highlighted by them. He also reiterated the commitment of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board and J&K Administration for the welfare of all the stakeholders associated with the holy pilgrimage.

 

LG greets people on Kabir Jayanti

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha has extended his heartiest greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Sant Kabir Das Ji’s Jayanti, which will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11,2025
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor has said: “On the auspicious occasion of Sant Kabir Das Ji Jayanti, I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to all.
Sant Kabir Das Ji embodied the spirit of brotherhood, love and communal harmony. Equally revered by all sections of society, the compositions of Sant Kabir Das Ji have been a source of wisdom and inspiration to humanity.
