Nearly 95,000 students from the Kashmir Division and the winter zone of the Jammu division, including those from the Ladakh Union Territory, will take part in the exams, which the Government has reinstated to the October-November session. According to the date-sheet, the exams will begin with Mathematics paper on November 3, followed by Social Science on November 7. The Science examination is scheduled for November 11, while the English paper will take place on November 14. The Urdu and Hindi papers are set for November 17, and vocational subjects will be taking place on November 21, with the Computer Science paper scheduled for November 19. The examinations will conclude on November 27, with painting, art and drawing subjects scheduled for that day. Additionally, subjects with fewer candidates, such as home science on November 23, music on November 25 and optional subjects including Kashmiri, Dogri, Bhoti, Punjabi, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Persian and Sanskrit, are scheduled for November 24. Secretary JKBOSE, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh told Rising Kashmir that due to disruptions in the academic calendar caused by heat waves, heavy rainfall, cloudbursts and floods, J&K BOSE has provided a 15 percent relaxation in the syllabus for all subjects, equating an attempt of 85 percent marks to 100 percent. "Students must prepare themselves for the annual regular examinations and should appear for the exams as per the schedule which we have already fixed for the 10th grade examinations. We are going to release the date sheet for the 12th and 11th-grade examinations. The exams for both classes are set to commence in November, allowing us to complete the examinations of the students before the winter vacation break," he said. Meanwhile, the BOSE has exhorted invigilators to be completely professional while discharging their duties in order to safeguard the purity and integrity of exams and requested SED to extend cordial support in smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
