J&K Board kicks off 11th grade exams for Hard Zones

Srinagar, Feb 21: A total of 11,525 students from the hard zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir are set to take part in the 11th-grade annual regular examinations, which will begin on February 22, 2025, and conclude on March 22, 2025, across 128 centers.

An official from the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) confirmed to Rising Kashmir that the exams for students in the hard zones will be held in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions. In the Jammu division, 9,304 students will appear at 106 centers, while 2,221 students will participate in the Kashmir division at 22 centers.

The official also mentioned that the 10th-grade exams for hard zone students began on February 21, 2025, and will conclude on March 23, 2025. Meanwhile, the 12th-grade exams for these students began on February 20, 2025, and will end on March 20, 2025.

This year marks the first instance in which JKBOSE is conducting the annual regular examinations for the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in both the soft and hard zones of Jammu and Kashmir during the same time frame, with exams in the soft zones having started after February 15, 2025.
