Jammu, Mar 18: Following directives from the party’s high command, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit in Jammu and Kashmir is set to formulate the Union Territory’s manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. This manifesto will then be submitted to the high command for inclusion in the BJP’s main manifesto for the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
To facilitate this process, the J&K BJP has established a four-member committee tasked with drafting the manifesto for all five Lok Sabha seats in J&K. The aim is to address the development needs and aspirations of each constituency effectively.
“The committee constituted for drafting the manifesto for J&K will take into consideration the development requirements of each of the five Lok Sabha constituencies of J&K,” BJP District President and Seh Prabhai, Munish Khajuria, confirmed.
He said the members of the manifesto drafting committee include J&K BJP Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi, Devendra Rana, Advocate Abhinav Sharma, and former MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania. They will carefully assess the grievances and future requirements of each constituency, ensuring that the manifesto reflects the needs and aspirations of the people, he said.
Khajuria further said that the committee will address the issues faced by each Lok Sabha constituency of J&K and incorporate suggestions from the public regarding future action. To ensure comprehensive representation, committee members will visit every assembly segment of all the Lok Sabha seats in J&K, engaging with constituents before finalising the manifesto, he said.
