Instead of introspection after orchestrating the gruesome Pahalgam carnage; Pakistan has resorted to all out attack on India. On Wednesday Indian Armed Forces targeted the terrorist bases and in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir(POJK) and Pakistan decimating the centres of terror that were used against India to inflict damage. Pakistan’s duplicity and hypocrisy was exposed in the full glare of the media when its Prime Minister and the Army Chief attended the funeral of the terrorists eliminated by the Indian Armed Forces. Pakistan has been repeatedly saying that the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir are not being sent from Pakistan and it has nothing to do with these religious radicals. But the presence of the Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharief and the Army Chief General Asim Munir with terrorists leading the funeral blowed into smithereens their policy of plausible deniability. Desperate Pakistan has crossed the limits and has resorted to shelling and missile attack on the civilian areas. Jammu is witnessing shelling and drone attacks at the time of writing this editorial. Major installations are being targeted in Jammu but the alert defence system has thwarted these attacks. Approximately eight missiles were fired on the Jammu region by Pakistan. These include Satwari, Samba, R.S.Pura and Arnia Sector. All of these were intercepted by the Indian Air Defence System and foiled the Pakistani design to inflict heavy civilian damage. India had targeted the centres in POJK and Pakistan but by attacking the civilian areas it has proved that decimation of the terrorists centre by Indian Armed Forces has had severe impact on its evil assets. If Pakistan would not have been patronising terrorism against India in Jammu and Kashmir then it would not have resorted to targeting the civilian areas in Jammu. Pakistan has escalated the situation and has made it clear that it wants to pursue the policy of terrorism against India and is not relenting. Pakistan has forced India to retaliate as it is resorting to attacks in various sectors. As per the reports Pakistan tried to aim at the major security installations and places of public importance in Jammu region. But the alert Indian Defence System has neutralised it. Armed forces are giving befitting reply to the Pakistani attacks. The large scale drone attacks on the International Border in Jammu on Thursday night was meant to inflict damage on the civilians. Samba has also witnessed the Pakistani attacks. Acting promptly, The Jammu Police has put its public safety mechanism into place and swung into action. In an advisory it has asked the public to switch off all types of lights during the blackout period and appealed to stay indoors at safer places. It has also been advised to avoid the unnecessary vehicular movement for the public safety. Morale of the common masses is high and are cooperating with the police and security forces to defeat the evil machinations of Pakistan to inflict damage on the national assets. People of Jammu and Kashmir stand firmly behind the Indian Armed Forces and are making all possible efforts to act as the sentinels of the nation in this hour of challenge when it is required to face the adversary at all the fronts. To uphold the territorial integrity and sovereignty of India. National security is non-negotiable. India stands united to defeat the subversive machinations of Pakistan.
