Says these Parties insulted Maharaja Hari Singh & Dogras
Promises BJP will restore statehood, others mislead people
Equal rights for all in J&K, BJP will end decades of discrimination
JAMMU, Sept 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday accused the National Conference (NC), Congress (Cong), and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of decades of discrimination against the Jammu region, while also insulting Maharaja Hari Singh and the Dogras.
“Jammu has been a victim of discrimination for decades due to the rule of NC, Cong, and PDP, which have dominated J&K’s political landscape for many years,” PM Modi said during a mammoth rally in Doda.
He further charged that these parties not only sidelined Jammu but also disrespected its history and culture. “These parties insulted Maharaja Hari Singh and all the Dogras of Jammu,” he said, adding, “The people will teach these parties a lesson in the upcoming Assembly election.”
Modi emphasized that the BJP believes in equal rights for all people in J&K, regardless of caste or religion, and does not discriminate. “Every citizen of J&K, irrespective of caste or religion, has equal rights to the region’s resources, and we do not practice discrimination,” the Prime Minister asserted.
He pointed out that significant development works have been undertaken in J&K during the BJP’s tenure and assured that the party would restore statehood. “Only BJP will restore statehood to J&K, but these other parties are misleading the people with false promises,” Modi said.
