Jammu-Srinagar highway blocked due to landslide in Ramban

Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic following mudslides and landslides in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, Police said.

Giving details, a traffic police official said Jammu Srinagar NHW blocked due to Mudslide at Mehad, Ramban and landslide at Tabela Chamalwass, Banihal. 

“People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the weather improves and the road is clear. please ask TCU before starting the journey”, he said.

Jammu and Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall and rains on Monday, affecting normal life and bringing down the temperatures in the Himalayan region.
