Jammu Girls Clinch Victory in Sub-Junior UT Kabaddi Championship

Thrilling Semi-Finals, Finals Unfold at Subash Stadium, Udhampur

Udhampur, March 16: The second day of the 23rd Sub-Junior UT Kabaddi Championship for Boys and Girls witnessed an action-packed series of semi-final and final matches at the Indoor Sports Complex, Subash Stadium, Udhampur on Sunday.

In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Jammu girls’ team emerged victorious, defeating Udhampur District by 13 points in the final. The winning and runner-up trophies were presented by  Ashok Kumar Salhotra, Former Director Sports, SMVD Katra, and Senior Vice President, School Games Federation of India. The medal ceremony was attended by Sheikh Tanveer (President, Udhampur District Kabaddi Association), Ashok Kumar, and Abdul Rehman Paddar. The final match was officiated by Mir Alam and Naveen Sharma.

Boys’ Section

 

 Jammu defeated Budgam 28-23

 Baramulla defeated Kathua 39-37

 Udhampur defeated Rajouri 47-20

Poonch defeated Anantnag 28-16

 

Girls’ Section – Semi-Finals

 Udhampur defeated Kathua 22-19

Jammu defeated Rajouri 31-09

 

Final – Girls’ Section

 

Jammu defeated Udhampur 47-33

 

The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Udhampur, ensuring fair play and high standards of competition. The championship continues to highlight young sporting talent while fostering team spirit and healthy competition across Jammu and Kashmir.
