Awantipora, Sep 01: The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Friday played host to a group of enthusiastic young athletes from Burnhall School in Srinagar. The visiting students were warmly received by Assistant Director Dr. Hilal Ahmad Rather, who introduced them to the sports facilities at IUST.
During their visit, the school children had the opportunity to showcase their sporting talents through a series of trials. They expressed their gratitude to the IUST authorities for their unwavering support in organizing the event.
The Chairman of the Sports Committee and the Financial Officer (FO) of IUST, while addressing the young athletes, emphasized the importance of participating in sports. He stressed that sports not only promote physical fitness but also instil values such as team spirit, good temperament, and a constructive approach to life.
