IUST organises Mathematical Olympiad awareness program

Awantipora, July 24: The Department of Mathematical Sciences, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Wednesday organised an awareness programme on the Mathematical Olympiad at Mantaqi Memorial Wakf Higher Secondary School-Awantipora.
The programme witnessed huge participation of students, fostering a spirit of mathematical inquiry and excellence, the university said in a press release issued here.
Dr Peer Bilal, Head Department of Mathematical Sciences, underscored the importance of the Mathematical Olympiad and highlighted the significance of such competitions in enhancing problem-solving skills, critical thinking and fostering a deep appreciation for mathematics among young learners.
Dr Bilal Ahmad Para, faculty Department of Mathematical Sciences, provided a comprehensive overview of the different stages of the Olympiad, and equipped students with the knowledge and tools required to excel in such prestigious competitions.
