Awantipora, March 11: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Tuesday organised an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for the Women. The programme was aimed at empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs by equipping them with insights into the evolving business landscape.
Khairul Nissa, the Executive Director at World Trade Center Services, New Delhi, delivered the keynote address, encouraging participants to explore the vast opportunities available in entrepreneurship. She highlighted the importance of innovation, networking, and resilience in building successful enterprises and urged women to utilise the available resources and support systems.
Speaking at the event, Professor Parvez A Mir, Director CIED, reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem through training programmes, mentorship initiatives, and incubation support. Dr. Ruheela Hassan, Coordinator of the Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IUST, emphasised the need for adaptability and continuous learning in an ever-evolving business environment. The programme concluded with an interactive session, allowing participants to seek guidance from experts and explore pathways to transform their business ideas into successful ventures.
