Awantipora, Aug 13: In the ninth edition of the NIRF considering 16 different categories of Institutions, IUST figures in the ranking band of 51-100 state public universities in the country. Under the NIRF evaluation framework, the institutions undergo a rigorous assessment across different parameters including teaching-learning, research, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.

Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST, congratulated the faculty, staff, students and scholars; and said that it is the outcome of their collective efforts. Prof. Romshoo said that NIRF framework has evolved since its first edition and the participation in NIRF assessment and ranking bespeaks of IUST’s growth and sets the agenda for future. He said that to figure among the top 100 State Public universities gives us confidence to further galvanize our efforts and realize excellence in academics and research. He also said that the pan-India evaluation framework of NIRF establishes parity among universities and identifies the best practices followed by top institutions in the country and helps set the priorities accordingly. Pertinently, in this year’s ranking over 10800 institutions participated in different categories.

On this occasion, Prof A H Moon, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Sheikh Javid Dean Research, Prof A Wahid Registrar, Mr Sameer Wazir Finance Officer also congratulated the IUST fraternity.
