International Womens Day celebrated at Zila Sainik Bhawan, Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 06: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, in collaboration with Human Rights & Anti-Corruption Forum Srinagar (HR&ACF), and Department of Social Welfare (DoSW), Srinagar Wednesday celebrated International Women’s Day at Zila Sainik Bhawan Srinagar.
The awareness programme was held under the guidance of Chairman (PDJ) DLSA, Srinagar, Jawad Ahmed.
The event was graced by the presence of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman DLSA (PDJ) Srinagar as chief guest.
Jahangir Ahmad Bakshi, Secretary DLSA, Srinagar, officials of DLSA, Srinagar, District Social Welfare office, Srinagar, Zila Sainik Bhawan, Srinagar & LADCs and Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA, Srinagar, were also present on the occasion. 
The event served as a platform to raise awareness about the rights of women and inspire action towards creating a more just and equitable society.
Chairman DLSA (PDJ), Srinagar, in his presidential speech, emphasized the crucial role women play in society and highlighted the need for continued efforts to address gender disparities. He highlighted the need for increased legal awareness among women and access to justice for those who have faced discrimination or violence.
Ruqaya Ashraf, District Development Officer, Srinagar, addressed the participants and highlighted the various welfare schemes and initiatives implemented by the government to empower women. She urged women to take advantage of these programs to improve their lives and realize their full potential.
Rashid War, PRO, Zila Sainik Bhawan emphasized the importance of upholding the rights of women and the need for concerted efforts to combat gender discrimination and the importance of empowering women in all spheres of society.
Adv. Urba Rashid highlighted the importance of legal awareness among women and the efforts of DLSA in providing free legal aid to marginalized women. She stressed the importance of awareness and access to justice for women who face gender-based violence and discrimination.
Renzushah highlights unity in Kashmiri culture at Tagore Hall event
Srinagar, Mar 06: In a packed Tagore Hall event organized by Care Foundation and Gayur Foundation, Renzushah delivered a poignant presidential address emphasizing the culture of unity in Kashmir. He highlighted Aali Kadal as the historic center of the “Great Revolution of Love” by spiritual figures like Bulbushah, Renchanshah, and Kota Rani dating back to 1320 A.D.
Renzushah paid tribute to Ghulam Nabi Aali Kadli for his steadfast commitment to reviving the historical importance of these spiritual abodes. He praised Mahajabeen Aali Kadli and ShowkatGayour for their dedication to preserving Sufi traditions in Kashmir.
Addressing recent controversial statements about Kashmir’s history, Renzushah condemned irresponsible claims suggesting Sultan Sikander demolished temples to build Sufi shrines. He challenged such assertions, emphasizing historical inaccuracies and calling for unity and peace in understanding Kashmir’s rich heritage.
Renzushah stressed the importance of educating the younger generation about the inclusive history of Kashmir, free from communal bias. He invited debate and discussion to foster a deeper understanding of Kashmir’s legacy of unity and peace.
