Inter-School Zonal Level Volleyball, Kho-Kho competitions held across Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Aug 02: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Ganderbal on Friday conducted inter-school zonal level Volleyball and Kho-Kho competitions in various zones across the district.
Zone Kangan organized a volleyball competition for boys under 19 years at the Zonal Office Ground, Kijpara Kangan. Numerous High School and Higher Secondary Schools participated, with BHSS Manigam and BHSS Chattergul reaching the finals. In a thrilling match, BHSS Manigam emerged victorious against BHSS Chattergul. Senior officials felicitated both teams with trophies at the end.
Zone Tullamulla hosted a Volleyball competition for boys under 17 years at BHSS Kurhama, with 68 student players from various educational institutions participating. Semi-final and final matches will be conducted tomorrow on the second day of the competition.
Similarly, inter-school zonal level Kho-Kho competition for girls under 17 years was held at BHSS Hariganiwan. Various educational institutions took part, and in the finals, HS Hayan defeated BHSS Hariganiwan in a closely contested match. Senior officials felicitated both teams with trophies during the presentation ceremony.
YSS Ganderbal is immensely proud of the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all the participants. These competitions are not just about winning but also about fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience among our youth.
The department looks forward to conduct more such events that contribute to the holistic development of our students.
