JAMMU, May 10:In the dense forests of Poonch District, a ‘Speculative Fire’ incident occurred in the Sinai Top area early Friday afternoon, SSP Poonch, YougalManhas, told Rising Kashmir.
‘Speculative Fire’ denotes firing from one side, with security forces initiating gunfire suspecting the presence of terrorists in the dense foliage.
Following the attack on the Indian Air Force (IAF) Convoy earlier this month, security forces suspect the involvement of these terrorists trapped in the Sinai Top area. In response, an intense joint search operation has been launched to apprehend the assailants.
Security forces emphasize that the group of terrorists operates within heavily forested regions, complicating the search efforts. High-tech drones have been deployed alongside ground operations to track down the attackers responsible for the assault on the IAF convoy.
Authorities have released sketches of two suspects believed to have orchestrated the attack, resulting in the martyrdom of one Air Warrior and injuries to five others.
