Jammu, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Working President Raman Bhalla on Wednesday addressed party workers to invigorate Congress’s political activities and public outreach campaign.
The gathering held in the Bathindi area of Bahu constituency, according to a party statement, witnessed the presence of several notable figures, including Sarpanch Hafeez Uhalla, Sarpanch Fazal Hussain Shukar Din, and other prominent members of the community.
In his address, Bhalla rallied party workers to support the Congress Party’s vision for the region’s future. He emphasized the party’s commitment to ensuring permanent peace, enduring prosperity, and equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the experience and determination of seasoned politicians within the party, asserting their capability to bring about positive change.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the region, the Congress leader criticized the “deceptive” politics of the BJP, accusing its leaders of subjecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir to suffering and deprivation. He pledged to end “political exploitation” and lead the region towards prosperity and development under Congress’s leadership.
Expressing concern over rising unemployment, Raman outlined the party’s plans to create job opportunities by harnessing the region’s natural resources. He called for the proper and scientific utilization of these resources to generate employment for the youth.
“The Almighty has bestowed J&K with tremendous natural resources. If these resources are used properly and scientifically, they will enable us to generate a significant number of job opportunities for our young population,” he said
Bhalla said Congress stands as a beacon of hope, with its leadership dedicated to bringing about positive change here. “Unlike other political parties, we do not aspire to attain power just to rule but to serve the people. We stand in support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir like a rock, as our mission is to protect their rights and ensure their prosperity and well-being,” he said.
Urging party workers to actively support the Congress agenda, Bhalla called for strengthening the party’s organizational structure. He sought the active involvement of the younger generation to “safeguard” the rights of the people and foster prosperity in the region.
“Together, we can safeguard the rights of the people, and foster prosperity and well-being in their lives,” he said.
