Integrity Pledge Observed at Range Police Headquarters Rajouri on Vigilance Awareness Week

In connection with observance of Vigilance-Awareness Week-2023, today, on 30.10.2023, a pledge taking ceremony was held at RPHQ Rajouri. Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal-IPS administered the integrity pledge to the officers and officials of RPHQ Rajouri at 1100 hrs.

Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed every year during the last week of October to create awareness among employees and citizens to fight against corruption and to ensure integrity in public administration.

This Vigilance-Awareness Week is part of a series of efforts being made to spread awareness about the corrupt practices, which is like termite and a serious threat to the progress of every society and nation.

As part of this, a Special Lecture was delivered by the DIG RP Range that made the participants aware about the importance of the Vigilance-awareness campaign and further emphasized that observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the primary tools of preventive vigilance and re-affirming the commitment of everyone to uphold integrity in public governance. It was further stressed to adopt strategies in effective implementation of its mandate to fight corruption.

He sensitized the employees on vigilance awareness and stressed upon inculcatation of habit of honesty. It has been decided that different outreach programmes and activities would be conducted regarding the preventive vigilance measures that are to be taken up as focus areas with zeal and enthusiasm to achieve the objective to eliminate corruption in public life.

Other officers who participated in the pledge were Sh. Parvez Alam Dy SP Staff-Officer RPHQ Rajouri, Sh. Zakir Sahaheen Mirza Dy SP Coy Commander IRP 2nd Bn, Sh. Sunil Kumar Dhar Dy SP (S) Private Secretary RPHQ Rajouri. The event was culminated with the assurance that we all strive hard together against the menace of corruption
