Inquiry ordered for govt schools registering below 40% results

Srinagar, June 14: Government Higher Secondary School Chittergul in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has recorded only 22.22 percent result in the recently-declared 12th standard annual regular examinations.
A total of 1,27,636 students were enrolled for the 12th standard annual regular examinations in 2023 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh, out of which only 65 percent of the students have successfully qualified.
In the Government Higher Secondary School Chittergul Anantnag, 236 students have appeared in the 12th standard annual regular examinations, in which only 52 students have qualified, which is 22.22 percent.
Chief Educational Officer (CEO) Anantnag, Kamal Kishore Badyal, told Rising Kashmir that an inquiry has already been ordered for all those government schools where the results of the 12th class examinations have been recorded below 40 percent.
