Srinagar, Dec 06: Jammu and Kashmir government took decisive action on Wednesday by appointing an inquiry officer to probe the misplacement of files and service books within the Public Works Department (R&B).
In an order issued by Shailendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Government, Mazhar Hussain, Director Finance of the Public Works (R&B) Department, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer.
The inquiry will focus on the misplacement of physical files, including the service book of Er. Asif Iqbal Zarger, the in-charge Assistant Executive Engineer who is now retired.
“The Service Book was requisitioned from Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Kashmir, as part of the inquiry into his unauthorized absence. The inquiry officer is directed to submit the factual report and findings within a period of one month,” the order stated.
