India reported 1,300 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the highest in 140 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
According to Health Ministry, In India, the active cases have increased to 7,605 which comprises 0.02% of total infections.
The daily positivity rate is recorded as 1.46% while the weekly positivity was pegged at 1.08%.Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.79% as 718 recoveries in the last 24 hours increases Total Recoveries to 4,41,60,997.
Meanwhile, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Thursday advised all the states to continue focusing on the 5-fold strategy of Test-Track-Treat-Vaccination and Covid Appropriate Behaviour to fight Covid-19.
The notification stated, “We will do another mock drill to see the COVID-19 preparations. Mock drills will be done soon in all the states/UTs.”
According to the notification issued by the Health Ministry, more than 220.65 crore total doses of vaccines have been administered in the country.
