BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta on Sunday said that
inauguration of the new parliament house is India’s assertive step towards shedding its colonial mindset and a resolve to India’s global resurgence based on the principles of “swa” or selfhood (swadharma, swadeshi and swaraj).
Addressing the gathering at Palma, Gupta said that new parliament house is a matter of pride for every Indian and those opposing it are not against Prime Minister Narendra Modi but are against the very idea of ‘One India’.
“Our hearts are filled with pride and honour to have a new parliament house, showcasing India’s time-honoured values and exemplifying India’s illustrious culture and rich heritage,” he said.
Gupta said that installation of ‘Sengol’ in the new parliament house will motivate every lawmaker to uphold justice and add more integrity to his work.
Hitting at opposition, he said that the inauguration of the new parliament should not be used as a gimmick to delude people as this is a moment to be cherished, adored and exhilarated by all.
” The new parliament building reflects the aspiration of New India and 140 cr people irrespective of party affiliation, religion, caste or creed, Gupta said.
