INDIA alliance will form govt at Centre on June 4: J&K Cong Chief

Srinagar, May 09: Jammu & Kashmir Congress President Vikar Rasool Wani on Thursday asserted that the INDIA alliance will form the government at the Centre on June 04 this year.
Once the INDIA alliance comes into power, the statehood to Jammu & Kashmir will be restored without any delay, he said while addressing a press conference at party headquarters here.
J&K Congress President said the party is hopeful that it will win two seats of the Jammu region and the three seats in Kashmir Valley will be clinched by National Conference, a constituent of the INDIA bloc.
Wani said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been “exposed” across the country due to its “step-motherly” treatment of other faiths. “BJP has made Mangalsutra, Hindu-Muslim etc a political issue which clearly showed its frustration. We are confident that due to such machinations, the BJP will hardly get 150 seats at the Centre,” he said.
The JKPCC Chief said the Congress and INDIA alliance will form the government at the Centre on June 04. “Once our government will come, the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir will be restored at the first instance. Further harassment of government employees, fruit growers’ issues, electricity and smart meters will be addressed. Also, protection for land, jobs and culture of Jammu and Kashmir will be ensured,” Vikar said.
