Srinagar, Sept 09: Zamin Foundation, a leading socio-economic development organisation in Jammu & Kashmir, and Kewal Francis Foodstuff Trading LLC, a Dubai-based enterprise with extensive expertise in global food trading, today announced the signing of a strategic joint venture agreement.

According to a statement issued here, this landmark collaboration is designed to accelerate growth, innovation, and sustainability in the food production and trading sector, with a special emphasis on strengthening cross-border trade between South Asia and the Middle East.

Earlier today, the business delegation met with the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and presented this venture to his team.

The dialogue centered on a strategic investment plan, aimed at unlocking opportunities for large-scale growth, job creation, and international cooperation.

The joint venture will focus on, Enhancing food production capacity through adoption of modern technologies and best practices, Streamlining supply chains to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reduced wastage, Expanding market access for local producers across the UAE, Middle East, and South Asian markets, Generating employment opportunities, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir, thereby contributing to regional economic development, Promoting sustainable practices to support long-term food security and ecological balance.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Idrees, Chairman of Zamin Streamlining supply chains to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reduced wastage.

Expanding market access for local producers across the UAE, Middle East, and South Asian markets.

Generating employment opportunities, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir, thereby contributing to regional economic development.
