Srinagar, Sept 26: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the official web portal of the Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra (LGSSK) at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar. This milestone marks a significant step forward in enhancing the welfare services provided to serving personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The newly launched portal, lgssk.jk.gov.in, has been developed by BISAG-N as a comprehensive digital platform to support the Kendra’s functioning. The portal is designed to log grievances, track actions taken, and provide transparent status updates accessible to both authorities and applicants. While the Kendra remains the institutional mechanism for soldier welfare facilitation, the portal ensures systematic follow-up and monitoring of every case with greater efficiency and accountability. The Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra serves as a vital bridge between serving military personnel and the civil administration. It guarantees that grievances and requests submitted by soldiers are promptly addressed through appropriate channels and resolved within stipulated timelines. By coordinating directly with government departments and facilitating necessary interventions, the Kendra reassures soldiers that their families’ concerns will be effectively managed, allowing them to remain focused on their duties to the nation. With operational offices now established at the Civil Secretariats in both Jammu and Srinagar, the Kendra acts as a single-window facilitation centre. It is tasked with resolving civil-related issues for all serving personnel belonging to Jammu and Kashmir as well as those currently deployed within the Union Territory. Prasanna Ramaswamy G, Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department and In-charge of the Lieutenant Governor’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra under the supervision of the J&K Home Department, provided a detailed presentation on the Kendra’s objectives and working during the launch event. To maintain authenticity and integrity, applications to the Kendra will only be accepted if routed through the respective Commanding Officers. Requests can be submitted via email at lg-ssk-jk@jk.gov.in, or by post to: LG’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra, Room No. 56, Ground Floor, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar – 190001 and  LG’s Sainik Sahayta Kendra Near Secretariat Treasury, Civil Secretariat, Jammu – 180001.
