Jammu, Dec 24: A comprehensive awareness campaign has been launched in the Jammu Division to inform and educate the citizens of the nation, especially the younger generation, about the exemplary courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzadas.
According to a statement issued here, under the direction of the Railway Board, special standees and banners have been put up at major railway stations in the Jammu Division to highlight the significance of 'Veer Bal Diwas' (December 26).
'Veer Bal Diwas' is observed every year on December 26 to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This day is an opportunity to instill values of bravery, sacrifice, and nation-building among young learners.
These banners aim to raise awareness among passengers and railway employees about the great legacy of the Sahibzadas, who displayed immense courage in the face of religious fanaticism.
Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Jammu Division, said, " 'Veer Bal Diwas' symbolizes India's identity and glorious history. Through these standees and banners, we aim to integrate the story of these young heroes into the national consciousness and encourage the youth of the country to draw inspiration from their ideals."
