Jammu, Dec 14: In order to sensitise the young generation about the Kashmir Shaiv Darshan and its relevance in the contemporary times,Shree Ram Shaiv Trika Ashram,Nasib Nagar,Janipur,Jammu organised a painting competition on the theme Shankar Pal and Bhairav Gufa.
According to a statement issued here,
painting competition is the part of the events beings organised in connection with the week long celebrations of the Pradhurbav Diwas(Birth Anniversary) of Maha Maha Maheshwaracharya Swami Ram Ji Maharaj that falls on coming Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Raina, an eminent exponent of Kashmir Shaiv Darshan apprised the participants about the importance of the Shankar Pal and Bhiarav Gufa. He shed light on the importance of Vakhs of Shaiva Yogini Lalleshwari.
On this occasion Sham Lal Sharma, MLA and former Cabinet Minister was the Chief Guest.
While speaking on the occasion, he said, “Swami Ram Shaiv Ashram,Nasib Nagar,jammu is playing a civilizational role in preserving the essence of Sanatan Dharma through their daily spiritual practice even in exile. Organising the competition is indeed a wonderful way of upholding the spiritual tradition of Kashmir.”
Meher Pratap was awarded the first prize, Sarthak Kaul second prize and Raghav Kaul third prize respectively.
The dignitaries who represented the ashram during the prize distribution include Gargi Gosha, Surinder Kachroo, Sanjeev Raina, SK Raina, Sunil Bhat, Bushan Lal Kaul.
Chusjool Mahaldar was the judge who scrutinized the entries of the participants. The event was conducted by Dr Mahesh Kaul.
