Only vehicles with anti-skid chains to be permitted towards Doodhpathri

Budgam, Feb 21: In the wake of snowfall and slippery road conditions, the administration in Khansahib has issued a directive urging drivers to equip their vehicles with anti-skid chains before embarking on journeys to the scenic destination of Doodhpathri in central Kashmir's Budgam district.

Tariq Ahmad, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Khansahib, said all drivers must ensure the installation of anti-skid chains on their vehicles given the prevailing snowfall and slippery road conditions.

He said only vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains and 4x4 vehicles would be permitted to proceed towards Doodhpathri. “Travelers planning trips to Doodhpathri are advised to comply with the safety directives and equip their vehicles adequately to navigate the snow-covered roads safely,” Ahmad said.
