KU extends deadline for diploma, certificate admissions

Srinagar: The University of Kashmir has extended the last date for submission of online applications for admission to various diploma and certificate programmes offered through its Centre for Distance and Online Education

As per an extension notice issued by the Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations, the deadline has been extended up to February 5, 2026. The extension applies to admissions notified under Admission Notification No. 01 of 2026 for the academic session January 2026 and academic year 2025.

Officials said that all other terms and conditions of the admission process will remain unchanged. The extension is expected to provide relief to aspirants who could not complete the application process within the earlier deadline.

The programmes covered under the extension include Diploma in Computer Applications, Diploma in Web Designing, Diploma in Cyber Law, Diploma in Consumer Law and Practice, Diploma in Tourism Management, Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship, Diploma in Home Science, Diploma in Urdu Journalism, Diploma in Urdu Translation, Diploma in Kashmiri Language and Literature, Diploma in Pre-Primary Teachers Training, and Certificate Course in Kashmiri.

The notice issued by the Director of Admissions and Competitive Examinations is applicable to all eligible candidates seeking admission to the listed programmes through distance and online mode.

Aspirants have been advised to complete the online application process within the extended timeframe to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
