22 women trained under MDP Batch–07 at JKEDI Jammu

Jammu, Jan 30: Twenty-two women entrepreneurs from various areas of District Jammu have successfully completed a one-week (30 hours) Management Development Programme (MDP) under Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme at JKEDI District Centre, Jammu.

The programme focused on entrepreneurship development, marketing strategies, financial management, statutory compliances, leadership, and decision-making, while sensitizing participants about key government initiatives including MUDRA, PMEGP, Startup/Stand-Up India, ASPIRE, ZED, LEAN, and SC/ST Hub. A group-based market survey was conducted to provide practical exposure and understanding of market dynamics.

During the valedictory programme, Dr Vinod Kumar Sharma, Designated Programme Reviewer, conducted a detailed review and interacted with the participants, encouraging them to leverage government support for enterprise growth.

The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Rajesh Kotwal, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Jammu, who urged the trainees to effectively apply the knowledge gained during the training. Monika Salaria, Designated Trainer for the MDP, along with Humera Nazir, appreciated the enthusiasm, active participation, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the women participants throughout the programme.

The participants also appreciated JKEDI for its continued efforts in promoting entrepreneurship and capacity building among aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in the Union Territory.
