150 Years of “Vande Mataram” : Forest dept B'pora organises plantation drive

Bandipora, Nov 12: In continuation of the celebrations marking 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram,” the Forest Department Bandipora, in collaboration with the NSS Units of HKM Government Degree College Bandipora, organised a Plantation Drive within the college campus under the theme “Salute to Mother Earth.”

According to a statement issued here, The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS officials, faculty members, and students, who planted a variety of

saplings across the campus, reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living.

On the occasion, Nadeem Qadri, an eminent Kashmiri environmental lawyer, spoke comprehensively about the importance of plantation, ecological protection, and the ongoing Go Green Bandipora initiatives.

The plantation drive successfully blended ecological awareness with patriotic spirit, inspiring participants to work collectively towards a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable environment.
