Inauguration of AN-32 courier service boosts connectivity in Kargil

Kargil, Jan 22: The Chairman/CEC of LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, along with Secretary Civil Aviation, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Dangi, and Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, welcomed Indian Air Force Pilots and crews on Monday for the commencement of the AN-32 Courier Service to Kargil.
The CEC expressed gratitude to various authorities, including the Government of India, Indian Air Force, UT Ladakh Administration, Secretary Civil Aviation, District Administration, Ladakh Police, and Air Force Station Kargil for their support in launching this crucial service.
CEC Dr Jaffer, during the event, instructed Liaison Officers and ALOs to ensure the smooth operation of the AN-32 Courier Service. He inspected heating facilities and essential services, emphasizing his commitment to a hassle-free service.
Highlighting the service’s objective to streamline travel and improve connectivity, the CEC noted the significance of the AN-32 Courier Service for Kargil.
Liaison Officer Kargil urged intending travelers to report on time with original IDs, contributing to the efficient operation of the service.
The inaugural flight successfully transported 11 passengers from Kargil to Jammu and 07 from Jammu to Kargil. The flight was operated by skilled personnel, including Gp Capt Saurabh Karmatar, Sqn Leader A. Nautiyal, Sqn Leader Kanwarpreet, Flight Leader Ashwini, Two Kaptans, and Sgt Shekhawat.
