“28 habitual drug peddlers have been booked under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) and the Public Safety Act (PSA),” the police official said.

Police said that the investigations leading to these arrests were marked by meticulous intelligence gathering and proactive policing strategies.

Cash amounting to 1.13 crore and 18 vehicles that were used in drug trafficking activities were also seized,” the police official further said.

Moreover, the police took decisive action by freezing two properties, including a house and a car, with a combined worth of 10 lac, belonging to notorious drug smugglers.
